Hereeee We Go 🤗
Hey friends! Wow, this blog has been a long time coming let me tell ya! If I had a quarter for every time I wrote down "start blogging" on a note, journal entry, or phone reminder...I would be A-okay 👌🏾 on laundry day despite the national coin shortage that is currently 👏🏾 IN 👏🏾FULL 👏🏾EFFECT let me tell you sis! (Yes, I still have to use quarters for laundry and wow how I've had to hustle for those bad boys this past month😂)
Anywhooo, I'm so happy its finally here! For one, my journey has been a series of serendipitous, entertaining, hilarious, "only God", "did that just happen", & "you had to be there" moments that I have shared with close friends/family, privately documented or stored inside my five-head 🧠. On another hand, I have realized over time that my perspective matters and others will benefit from my choice to share 💁🏽♀️! Yeah I said it! And so does yours--- more on that coming soon! Throughout this bizarrely magnificent journey, I have always searched high and low for the stories of others who had similar backgrounds, experiences, or dreams as mine. I wanted to see their come-up and what steps they took to "arrive" where I saw them presently. If you know me than you know I love a come up, and I love an underdog✊🏾. But then it finally dawned on me that I...Rachel Autumn...daughter of Berveyn & Valerie...child of the most High..."A WHOLEEEE ME" as Yvonne Orji would say, was being prompted to "be the change". So here we are: IT ME! The capacity for everything I've ever wanted to be, know, have, or experience, lives within me. Wish someone would've told me that sooner, geesh! Not only am I the best example for myself in understanding what's needed for my optimal living, growing, and evolving, but I am also a conduit for change sent to share these exact messages that will help lead others down the most rewarding path they could ever embark upon--- the path to oneself!
What exactly can you expect from my blog do you ask? Well I'd say who knows because Mrs.2020 has reinforced the idea of going with the flow and I do not want to make that crazy lady more upset so I shall comply. I do know, however, that this will be a sacred place for self-love, healing, learning, unlearning, amplifying black voices, inner-child inquiries, moon-gazing, reflecting, laughing, and PLAYING. I've adopted my dad's philosophy of having fun in whatever I'm doing, and if it's not fun keep it movin' Susan! Sidenote: I also get my taste in music from that guy so if you see me referencing songs from the 80s on back, sorry not sorry 🤷🏽♀️💃🏽🕺.
So thank you for being here! There's no greater time than now...like literally right now...to do the work on yourself. It won't always be pretty and pleasant, but it will be worth it, I promise! It is my intention that through everything I create, I share light and love always. Be it art, dance, words, pathways for better health, facilitatation of healing, or even just moments, when we cross paths, we will both be better for it. Let's nurture the inner child within us all so we may be truly free. Until next time! 🧚🏽♀️
